Notes: The Grand Budapest Hotel's victory over second place Boyhood prevents 2013 winner Richard Linklater (Before Midnight) from becoming the first ever two-time winner or back-to-back champion of the Mini-Poll. Third place finisher Goodbye to Language 3D (still unavailable in certain areas of the country at the time of survey, including yours truly's Oklahoma City) was the only film to earn more than one citation as the best film of 2014. And fourth place Gone Girl joins The Grand Budapest Hotel and Boyhood as the only films to be cited by at least half of the Mini-Poll's respondents.
